What is Actilis 20 (generic Cialis) used for?
Actilis pills 20mg (generic Cialis) (Tadalafil) are utilised to treat erectile dysfunction (impotence) in men, that is inability to achieve or keep a hard erect penis suitable for sexual activity, as a result of insufficient blood flow into the penis. Actilis 20 relaxes the blood vessels within the penis increasing bloodflow and causing an erection, which is the natural response to sexual stimulation. But, Actilis 20 does only work if you are sexually aroused.
How does Actilis 20 (Tadalafil) work?
Actilis 20 pills 20mg (Tadalafil) comprise tadalafil, which acts as the penile tissues of the penis to increase bloodflow to result in an erection. Throughout sexual stimulation nitric oxide is released at the erectile tissues of the penis which activates the enzyme guanylate cyclase. This enzyme increases quantities of a chemical called cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), which relaxes blood vessels in the penis and allows blood vessels to fill the spongy erectile cells to cause an erection. Yet another enzyme known as phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE 5 ) breaks down cGMP preventing the flow of blood to the penis, which causes lack of an erection. Actilis 20 inhibits the actions of PDE5 which resolves Erectile-Dysfunction by allowing the natural process of sexual stimulation to activate the cGMP mechanism for achieving and sustaining an erection.
How long does Tadalafil 20 last?
The maximum recommended dosing frequency is once per day. Actilis may be taken between 30 minutes and 36 hours prior to anticipated sexual activity. Patients may initiate sexual activity at varying time points relative to dosing in order to determine their own optimal window of responsiveness.
What does Actilis 20 contain?
Treating erectile dysfunction (impotence) with Actilis 20
Actilis 20 tablets 20mg contain tadalafil, a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor, used to treat erection dysfunction in men (impotence). Throughout sexual stimulation nitric oxide is discharged at the erectile tissue of the penis (corpus cavernosum), and activates the enzyme guanylate cyclise. This increases quantities of a chemical called cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) that relaxes blood vessels inside the penis and allows blood to meet with the rectal erectile tissues to cause an erection. Still another enzyme called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) breaks down cGMP preventing the flow of blood into the penis, that induces loss of an erection. Once taken before sexual activity, Actilis 20 inhibits PDE 5 allowing cGMP to continue to increase the flow of blood to the penis causing an erection.
